Tips for a Perfect Restaurant Owner Resume

Be selective in what you include in your resume. Your resume should not include every job position or title you have held. Think of your resume as a marketing tool to entice recruiter or a hiring manager.

Always highlight your key strengths and put them in a visible area, typically above the fold. This would help your resume stand out and you will get more interview calls than other candidates.

Try to limit your resume to one page. I’ve seen resumes of CEOs of large companies that are just one page long. I know hiring managers who will just refuse to take a look at resumes longer than one page.

Be prepared to backup everything in your resume with facts and documentation. it is tempting to lie in your resume to claim credit for more than what you’ve done, but when you’re talking to an industry professional it will show that you may have bluffed on your resume.

Proofreader you resume several times before you submit it. having simple spelling and grammar mistakes can hurt your chances of getting selected. ask someone, a friend or family member, to take a second look at your resume.
